This toolkit includes materials developed by the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition and Ban the Bags to help reduce the marketing of baby formula at hospitals. It includes letters from leaders in both public health and medicine who advocate for legislation banning free sample bags of formula in hospitals. This kit also presents compelling data that breastfeeding rates are lower in hospitals that distribute free samples of formula at the time of discharge.
