It’s main selling point is that it doesn’t contain melatonin, unfortunately it also misses out on half of the effective alternatives that it could have used. 

It could’ve used GABA or Ashwagandha and been far more effective. If you’re looking for something that is almost guaranteed to be side effect free then that’s where noocube sleep upgrade is good, as it mostly relies on magnesium, calcium and vitamin d (which are all found in more effective dose ranges in our number 1 rated sleep aid RestAgain, along with better ingredients than the rest of Noocube sleep). 

For example, Noocube Sleep Upgrade includes lavender, which doesn’t actually work orally as it’s the scent that effects sleep behavior.

The main issue we have with Noocube Sleep Upgrade is it’s ultimately a sleep multivitamin, even if it is actually pretty good on that front, using the more absorbable versions of the vitamins and getting the doses right. It suffers from the fact that isn’t going to do much to help you get to sleep faster without including melatonin, gaba or valerian. Which is unfortunately a key feature that a lot of people want in a sleep aid. And with it functionally being vitamin focused it Noocube Sleep simply doesn’t do enough to justify it's price tag.

All in all, if you want to avoid melatonin, then Noocube Sleep Upgrade can help you sleep, but you’d be better off getting magnesium, calcium and vitamin d supplements for half of the price.

Our personal experience with the supplement is that it didn’t do a great job, certainly compared against RestAgain, when used by our product testers. But, we only have 2 testers who are currently using sleep aids so it is not a large sample at time of writing.

Whilst a lot of people do want to avoid melatonin as side effects aren’t uncommon, there is an alternative that would’ve worked almost as well without causing the same issue. And that’s GABA, which your body uses to make its own melatonin. The magnesium included is a precursor to it, but it would be more effective to supplement it directly to help noocube sleep get you to sleep faster. It’s a little less effective but less likely to cause side effects and we’d have liked to have seen that included in Noocube Sleep if it was going to be anywhere near as effective as our number 1 rated sleep aid RestAgain which is also $15 a bottle cheaper and contains 3 times the effective ingredients, including most of the ingredients in Noocube sleep, in more effective dose ranges.

Although considering it doesn't contain GABA, Melatonin of Valerian there isn't really much need for this beyond the placebo effect which has been shown to work for night time rituals. It is important to establish a consistent sleep routine and incorporate Sleep Upgrade into your nightly ritual to experience optimal results. Regular use of Sleep Upgrade is key to achieving long-term improvements in sleep quality and overall well-being.

Noocube Sleep Upgrade is at it’s core a good sleep multivitamin, but unfortunately that simply doesn’t justify it’s price tag. As such it doesn’t make it onto our best sleep aids list. They do have a 60-day money-back guarantee, although we couldn’t find any evidence as to whether or not they honor it. 

We generally recommend RestAgain, but if you really want to avoid melatonin, and want something with a money back policy you could do worse. Of course we’d still suggest simply buying the 3 effective vitamins and minerals as separate pills and saving about $30 a month.
