One Sol Greens Reviews

Is One Sol Greens Any Good?

One Sol Greens is Cheap, And It Shows.

One Sol Greens combines the effects of organic greens powder products, pre and probiotics, digestive enzymes, and amino acids in a single supplement that claims to help you achieve all your health goals at the same time. This is all while being 100 percent natural and free from gluten, GMOs, and soy.

It claims to support the digestive process, prevent bloating and digestive discomfort, and boost your immunity, while offering various other health benefits. Unfortunately, on closer examination, our One Sol Greens review found that it is simply not capable of affecting your overall health in the ways that is says.

Unlike the best greens powders, One Sol Greens combines all of its ingredients in proprietary blends, to try and hide their dosages. However, despite their best attempts, we can still see that most are present in doses that are far too small to be of any use.

Not only that, but they are then also surrounded by ingredients that have little to no proof that they will do anything at all.

This is all before we even get to the fact that people with IBS experienced stomach pain and a worsening of their symptoms upon using this greens powder.

Then the less said about the weight loss claims made by One sol greens the better, there pretty much isn't anything in here at all that we'd expect from a weight loss aid.

As a result, even though it is more reasonably priced than most greens powders, One Sol Greens still does not offer good value.

That is why we recommend you do not buy One Sol Greens + Pre & Probiotic With Digestive Enzymes and instead stick to other greens powders worth your time and money. Generally for a budget greens powder we tend to recommend Live it Up , who's formula does actually allow for it's ingredients to be in functional doses, although there are better premium options available.

What One Sol Greens Taste Like?

So, this one is a bit of a mixed bag. There are a lot of reports from customers of it having a strong fishy taste, which is possible with poorly handled algae powder, which is listed as the largest ingredient in one sol greens, however, when we tried it, that wasn't an issues suggesting this is a quality control issue rather than a poor flavor all around.

In general we'd say the powder was quite sweet, more so than most of our team liked, but it did in fact have a pineapple taste as claimed by the brand. It wasn't the worst greens powder in terms of taste, but far from the best.

Best Super Greens

One Sol Greens + Pre & Probiotic With Digestive Enzymes Ingredients

Greens Blend - 5,000 MG

Organic Spirulina Powder

Spirulina is a blue green algae full of antioxidants, fatty acids, minerals, protein and vitamins. It boosts your immune system, metabolism, and heart health, fights free radicals, prevents oxidative damage and stress, and inflammation, and controls your blood pressure and blood sugar levels, appetite, and weight loss. (1).

Unfortunately, these health benefits will only be seen if you consume at least 2 grams of spirulina per day. While it is possible that One Sol Greens contains this amount, the use of a proprietary blend makes it impossible to tell and the weight of the Greens Blend and number of ingredients it it make it very unlikely.

Organic Kale Powder

Kale powder is made from one of the most widely eaten leafy greens on Earth. Rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, it can reduce inflammation, cholesterol and the risk of heart disease, boost your bone, eye, and immune system health and functions, prevent oxidative damage, and treat certain illnesses (2).

The problem is, these effects will only be produced if you consume at least 5 grams of kale per day. As this is the same weight as the entire Greens Blend and kale is not even the first things listed in it, One Sol Greens again simply cannot contain enough kale powder for it to be effective.

Organic Alfalfa Powder

Alfalfa is a flowering plant in the legume family that is rich in pinitol, a powerful antioxidant which studies show has the ability to improve gut health, provide kidney, liver, and digestive health benefits, and prevent or reduce inflammation in the rest of the organs throughout your body.

However, these beneficial effects that alfalfa can produce have only ever been seen when people eat large quantities of the fresh plant. This means that the small dose of alfalfa powder present in One Sol Greens is all but guaranteed to do you no good at all (3).

Organic Barley Grass Powder

Barley grass is a grass and cereal grain that contains a wide range of plant based nutrients that allows it to offer benefits like improved heart health, lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and help achieving weight loss goals (4).

The issue again though, is the amount that is present. With at least 5 grams being required per day to produce these effects and this being the same weight as the entire Greens Blend that it is located in, One Sol Greens simply cannot contain enough to be of any use.

Organic Spinach Powder

Spinach powder is made from the single most widely eaten leafy greens in the world, and it is rich in fibre, protein, minerals, and vitamins. It can boost your vision, eye, heart, and immune system health, and blood pressure, and reduce oxidative stress, anxiety, stress, and the risk of heart disease and some illnesses (5).

Unfortunately, for spinach powder to provide these benefits, you must consume at least 1,000 mg per day. While One Sol Greens tries to hide the amount present here, the weight of the Greens Blend and spinach's place in it mean we can work out that there is not enough present to be of any use.

Organic Chlorella Powder

Chlorella is a chlorophyte green algae full of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. It can improve your energy levels without spiking your blood sugar, at the same time as reducing your cholesterol and blood sugar levels, treating diseases and illnesses, detoxifying the body, and enhancing your overall health (6).

As no optimal dose of chlorella has been set, it is possible One Sol Greens contains a useful amount. That said, with 1,000 mg thought to be around the optimal dose and even the Greens Blend not being able to hide that less than this is present, it is still unlikely the chlorella content present here will do you any good.

Organic Parsley Powder

Parsley is a herb that features a range of nutrients and antioxidants which studies have shown can improve your bone, eye, heart, and immune system health and functions, combat bacteria, diseases, and viruses, and provide a number of other effects that are beneficial for the human body (7).

The problem is, these benefits have only ever been proven when consuming fresh parsley. This means there is no evidence that the parsley powder used in One Sol Greens will do you any good at all.

Organic Broccoli Powder

Broccoli powder is produced from a dehydrated form of the widely eaten green brassica vegetable of the same name. Broccoli is well known for being able to benefit your overall health, and studies have shown that it is especially beneficial when it comes to helping reduce cholesterol levels.

However, the benefits of broccoli have only ever been proven when people consume the fresh vegetable itself (8). This means that there is very little chance the powdered broccoli present in One Sol Greens will replicate these effects and do you any good at all.

Beet Root Powder

Beet root powder is rich in vitamin c, folate, nitrate, potassium and an antioxidant called betacyanins. It can reduce inflammation, blood pressure, and cholesterol, boost eye, heart, and immune health, stamina, and energy levels, protect the blood, liver and organs from damage, and prevent and treat some illnesses (9).

The problem is, you need to consume at least 500 mg of beet root each day for it to be of any use. While a proprietary blend makes it impossible to know exactly how much is present, it being the 9th ingredient in a blend that weighs 5000 mg in its entirety makes it highly unlikely that One Sol Greens contains this amount.

L-Glutamine - 2,500 MG

L-glutamine is an amino acid that makes you feel more alert and energetic, promotes muscle growth and maintenance, and reduces inflammation, blood pressure, cholesterol, depression, stress, and the risk of heart disease (10).

Unfortunately, studies show that at least 5 grams of glutamine need to be consumed each day for it to be of use. As this is double the amount present in One Sol Greens, its presence here is highly unlikely to do you any good.

NUTRAFLORA FB P-95 Fructooligosaccharides - 100 MG

Fructooligosaccharides are a calorie free fibre found in some root vegetables, herbs and fruits that boosts the digestive process to help with absorbing all the nutrients you have consumed, preventing fat storage, and achieving weight loss goals.

They also lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, stimulate the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut, ease constipation, and combat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) (11).

Yet again though, with 4 grams being the minimum recommended daily dose, the fructooligosaccharides present in One Sol Greens will be of virtually no use.

Bacillus Subtilis - 10 Billion CFU

Bacillus subtilus is a probiotic strain of healthy bacteria found in the gut that can aid the digestive process and prevent digestive discomfort and digestive issues like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) from developing (12).

However, while this is a rare occasion where One Sol Greens contains a useful amount of an ingredient, bacillus subtilis is one of the less effective probiotics around, so it being the most abundant one in a supplement designed to offer digestive health benefits is quite a big concern.

ProHydrolase (Protease Enzyme Blend From Bacillus Subtilis & Ananas Comosus) - 100 MG

Half of the Protease Enzyme Blend is a further dose of bacillus subtilis. The other "probiotic strain" listed, however, is just the scientific name for a pineapple.

With no information on what enzymes from a pineapple they have actually used, this appears to just be an attempt to hoodwink people who don't understand what they are reading into buying the product.

SL14 Probiotics Blend - 18 Billion CFU

The SL14 Probiotics Blend has lactobacillus acidophilus, bifidobacterium breve, lactobacillus fementum, lactobacillus rhamnosus, lactobacillus gasseri, lactobacillus plantarum, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus paracasei, lactobacillus salivarius, bifidobacterium lactis, bifidobacterium longum, bifidobacterium bifidum, bifidobacterium infantis, and streptococcus thermophilus.

Unlike the other probiotic strain we saw, this is a diverse range of effective probiotics that, if used properly, will significantly improve gut health.

Unfortunately, with 10 billion CFU seen as the optimal dose of any probiotic and this blend containing 14 different strains while boasting just 18 billion CFU in total, the effects it will provide in One Sol Greens will be far less than what it could potentially offer.

Digestive Enzyme Blend - 20 MG

The One Sol Greens Digestive Enzyme Blend contains the digestive enzymes amylase, lactase, protease, lipase, and cellulase.

Not only is it missing two of the most important digestive enzymes, maltase and sucrase, but research also suggests that you should consume 500 mg of digestive enzymes each day to improve gut health, while the Digestive Enzyme Blend weighs just 20 mg in its entirety (13).

This means it is virtually guaranteed to be of no use.

One Sol Greens Pros & Cons

One Sol Greens Review Conclusion
