Irwin Naturals Power to Sleep PM Review

Does Power To Sleep PM Work?

Power to Sleep PM is cheap, but underwhelming.

Irwin Naturals get something of a hard time on this site, it's not that all of their products are bad, but a lot are very underdosed which is largely as a result of their price point. Irwin Naturals Power to Sleep PM is simply another example of a cheap supplement that simply doesn't have enough of it's active ingredients to be effective.

The positives are relatively few, there is a dose of melatonin which should work somewhat, but again most better sleep aids contain more. It could be a fine dose for children, but adults would be better served with a stronger sleep aid than Power to Sleep PM.

On a positive note Irwin Naturals Power to Sleep PM is available in the form of liquid softgels, providing slightly faster absorbtion, but it's not really much of a selling point. Some people do find it easier to swallow of course.

Most of the other ingredients are ineffective or underdosed however. There's also a lot of issues with passionflower as an ingredient, not only is it relatively ineffective, with most studies showing it doesn't work, but there are also a lot of interactions.

In terms of the ingedients, there's enough here to help you get to sleep a bit quicker, but probably not enough to keep you asleep, whereas fuller doses of GABA would've helped with this issue. This sentiment was echoed by a lot of Power to Sleep PM customer reviews.

Meaning all in all we don't recommend Irwin Naturals Power to Sleep and if you're really on a budget, you'd be better off with a simple melatonin supplement.

If we compare it to something like RestAgain which is about $15 a bottle more expensive, you get about 5 times the active ingredients. Meaning they're actually in their effective doses, whilst avoiding the ineffective ones.

There is also a second version Irwin Naturals Power to Sleep PM Melatonin free, but as you'd expect this is even less effective.

Power to Sleep PM Customer Reviews

The majority of reviews for Power to Sleep PM are mixed with a bias toward the positive, indicating that the product somewhat delivers on its lofty claims. But, as we mentioned earlier, melatonin does work, so we would expect that it would work for some people, particularly if they've not used melatonin before and the smaller dose would be effective.

The negative reviews of irwin naturals power to sleep largely said that the product didn't work, and that users had previously taken more effective sleep aids.

A few mid rated reviews mentioned that they have to take additional melatonin, or that Power to Sleep PM helps them fall asleep, but not stay asleep. Which is what we'd expect from GABA and Melatonin doses being on the low side.

Power to Sleep Pm Review Conclusion

Power to Sleep PM is mostly an underdosed highlighting that ultimately you get what you pay for. It is possible that double dosing could get some of the ingredients into their correct dosages, but then you'd be over doing some others which wouldn't be recommended and at that point it comes out to be more expensive than better sleep aids at that price range.

As a result we don't recommend Power to Sleep PM. Yes, the 2mg of melatonin and 200mg of valerian could work for some people and the product is relatively cheap, but that's about all the positives we can muster. And if all you want is valerian and melatonin then you can buy those two ingredients seperately for even less, meaning that Power to Sleep PM isn't even really good value depsite being cheap.
