Most commonly asked Unisom questions
Unisom sleeptabs rely on just one ingredient to help you get a good night's sleep.
Doxylamine succinate - Doxylamine is in theory a non-habit forming medication, although you can build up a tollerance, which is in some ways a similar issue. This does mean you'll have to take more over time to get the same effect from it. Generally you shouldn't give it to children under 12 and it can interact with melatonin and excasserbate side effects so it's not recommended to take the two together. It usually starts to work in around 30 minutes so if you are using it because you're having trouble sleeping we recommend only taking it immediately before you're going to bed whether you're using unisom tablets or unisom sleepgels.
